A NEW BEGINING IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF LIFE!
Inspirational Fitness Senior Age 71.
"the world's greatest me"
Four decades past my prime, yet still I often find, the inner athlete in me that just won't seem to let me be. I missed my opportunity for fortune and fame with legendary status attached to my name. But despite being a physically less gifted version of myself, I continue moving forward, regardless of recognition or untold wealth. Riches never motivated me as a first resort, it's the vigor within and the love of a sport.
I refuse to be a has-been who has-been, so I continue to train at this moment, even if my next competition is just against myself or a future common opponent. Now I look forward to what could be instead of peering back at what might have been, with a renewed vision of what's to come, as my final chapter begins.
And although I've entered the fourth quarter of life, I live by this decree, that I'm still Dean Prator
The world's greatest me.

My First Bench Press Competition September 6, 2025
My first senior bench press competition was bittersweet. I was able to set the California State record with a bench press of 3.19.7 pounds in the 'Drug Tested" 70-to-74 age 100KG/220 pound weight group, but missed my last attempt at 155KG/341.7 pounds, which would have been not only a National Record, but would have also surpassed the World Record of 152.5KG/336.2 pounds by over five pounds. I'll get it next time!
